Patna: A 13-year-old boy died on Tuesday after getting hurt during a running competition at his school in Patna City. The boy, Sahil Kumar, was a class VI student at Marwari Madhya School in the Chowk police station area.
According to the school, Sahil was running in a race when he was hit and fell unconscious. Teachers quickly took him to a nearby private nursing home for treatment. Seeing his serious condition, doctors there referred him to Nalanda Medical College Hospital. Sadly, Sahil died during treatment.
His family was called to the hospital by the school administration. When they reached, they were told that Sahil had passed away. The family then informed the Chowk police station about the incident. Police officer Dushyant Kumar visited the school to look into the matter.
Police said it appears to be an accident, but they are checking CCTV footage from the school for a clear understanding. School Principal Chitranjan Kumar said a small running competition was organised for the children when this accident happened.
