Patna: Panic spread across parts of Patna on Sunday morning after the body of an unidentified minor girl was discovered behind Lalit Bhawan in the Shastri Nagar Police Station area.
Police said the girl is believed to be between 16 and 17 years old. Her identity had not been established at the time of reporting.
Preliminary assessments suggest the possibility of murder, with investigators suspecting that the body may have been dumped at the site after the crime. Officials, however, said the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after a post-mortem examination.
A police team reached the spot soon after receiving information and took custody of the body, initiating further legal procedures.
Authorities said efforts are under way to identify the deceased. Local residents are being questioned, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined as part of the investigation.
