Patna: Authorities in Patna have warned residents against circulating rumours regarding the allotment of pre-fabricated shops along JP Ganga Path.
Patna Smart City Managing Director Animesh Kumar Parashar clarified that no shops have been allotted yet, and the allotment process has not begun. “At present, only construction and installation of the shops are underway,” he said, urging the public to ignore any unverified claims.
Officials have raised concerns about anti-social elements circulating false receipts and lists, claiming to represent Patna Smart City Limited, the Municipal Corporation, or local administration. These claims, spread through social media, have been described as completely baseless.
An official announcement will precede any allotment process, Parashar confirmed. The public has been advised to rely solely on information from official sources. Surveillance cameras and public address systems are being used to monitor Ganga Path, and any suspicious activity or attempted fraud should be reported immediately to Patna Smart City Limited. Authorities have pledged strict legal action against those responsible.
