Patna: A shocking incident has come to light from Gurugram, Haryana, where a school teacher originally from Patna was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The body was discovered inside a classroom of Angel Children Academy, located in the Gandhi Nagar area under the Pataudi Chowk police station. The teacher was sitting on a chair with a bullet wound to the right side of his head. A pistol was also found near the body. At first glance, police believe it could be a case of suicide, but they have not ruled out other possibilities.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Shailendra Kumar Karn, also known as Munna. He was a resident of Lohia Nagar in Kankarbagh Colony, Patna, and had been living and working in Gurugram for nearly 25 years. Shailendra ran the school on the ground floor of the building and lived in a rented room on the upper floor. People in the area said he mostly stayed to himself and focused on running the school.
The incident came to light on Saturday morning when another tenant who lived upstairs came down and saw blood spread across the classroom floor. He found Shailendra sitting motionless on a chair. Shocked by the sight, the tenant immediately informed neighbours and called the police. Soon after, police officers reached the spot and sealed the area. The body was sent for post-mortem examination, and a forensic team began collecting evidence from the classroom.
According to neighbours, Shailendra had been living alone for the past three years after separating from his wife following a family dispute. Since then, he had stayed within the school premises. The police have informed his brother, Neelendra Kumar, who lives in Patna, and other family members are now preparing to travel to Gurugram. Police officials said the case is being investigated from all angles. The final cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem and forensic reports are received.
