Patna: Around 10,000 people participated in a Tiranga Yatra in Patna on Monday, August 10, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The march was led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and travelled from JP Golambar to Kargil Chowk.
A large number of BJP workers and supporters joined the procession carrying the Tricolour. Participants raised patriotic slogans as the march moved through the capital.
The campaign seeks to encourage people to display the national flag and mark Independence Day with respect for the Tricolour.
Two Deputy CMs Absent
The absence of the other two Deputy Chief Ministers, Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Yadav, was noted at the event.
Vijay Kumar Choudhary was reportedly outside Patna and therefore could not attend. No official reason was immediately confirmed for Bijendra Yadav’s absence.
The absence prompted discussion among attendees, particularly as Samrat Choudhary led the programme.
Ashok Choudhary Attends Event
Minister Ashok Choudhary was present at the Chief Minister’s programme and appeared on stage during the event associated with the Tiranga Yatra.
Samrat Choudhary used the occasion to emphasise patriotism and national unity while addressing participants.
Two Ministers Stopped At Gate
Ministers Dilip Jaiswal and Mithilesh Tiwari arrived late at the venue and were reportedly stopped at the entrance by security personnel.
According to the account from the event, security personnel initially refused to open the gate, citing security protocols. The two ministers waited outside before being allowed to enter.
The incident drew attention at the venue as security arrangements remained tightly enforced during the programme.
Tight Security Along Route
Security personnel were deployed at the venue and along the procession route in view of the programme and the presence of senior political leaders.
The Tiranga Yatra concluded its planned route from JP Golambar towards Kargil Chowk, with participants carrying the national flag as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
