Patna: Traffic movement in parts of Patna will be significantly affected on April 7 and 8, with authorities announcing a complete suspension of vehicular movement along the stretch from Digha Overbridge to Rupaspur Railway Overbridge between 9am and 2pm.
The restrictions are being imposed to facilitate the construction of a 132 kV overhead transmission line by the Patna Electricity Supply Unit, which has urged residents to cooperate and use designated alternative routes.
According to officials, monopole transmission towers will be installed along the western bank of the Patna Main Canal — from Digha Lock to Khagaul Lock — and along the eastern side of the adjoining road. The temporary traffic block, they said, is necessary to ensure safety during the installation process.

PESU reiterated its appeal to commuters to plan their travel in advance and adhere to the temporary diversions during the restriction period.
