Patna: The Patna University Alumni Association will organize its annual meet on March 2 at the Patna Science College campus. The decision was taken during an executive committee meeting chaired by Patna University Vice Chancellor and Alumni Association Patron Prof Ajay Kumar Singh.
The meet will feature participation from former students who have achieved distinction in various fields across India and abroad. The event will be live-streamed to enable participation from alumni residing in other states and countries. A souvenir highlighting the university’s achievements and the accomplishments of its alumni will also be released.
Prof Atul Aditya Pandey, General Secretary of the Association, announced that several committees will be formed to ensure the successful execution of the event. Special membership drives for full-time and annual memberships will be conducted in January and February.
Detailed information regarding the program will be made available on the Patna University website shortly. Online membership options will be facilitated for alumni residing in any part of the world. The Patna Science College campus will host a pandal to accommodate the expected influx of alumni.
The program will include cultural performances and sporting events. The previous Alumni Meet was held at Patna College Ground in 2023.
Tributes Paid to Eminent Alumni
A moment of silence was observed to pay tribute to distinguished former students of Patna University, including Acharya Kishore Kunal, Sharda Sinha, Usha Kiran Khan, and Dr Bindeshwar Pathak. Prof Ras Bihari Prasad Singh emphasized the unwavering commitment of all alumni to the university’s progress.
The meet will commemorate the contributions of eminent personalities associated with the university. Initiatives will also be undertaken to educate the younger generation about the significant contributions of these individuals to the state and society.
