Patna: The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Patna Women’s College organised an AI-themed competition titled “Time Capsule: India’s Freedom Journey to the AI-Powered Future” on Wednesday.
The event was conducted through the college’s AI Club under the guidance of Poonam Abraham Lakra, Head of the Department of AI and Machine Learning. Students from different departments participated in the competition and presented ideas linking India’s journey since Independence with the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence.
Creativity And Ethical AI In Focus
The competition encouraged students to explore the theme through presentations and videos, with emphasis on creativity, innovation, teamwork and responsible use of AI.
Participants were asked to connect India’s historical journey with possible technological developments in the future, giving them an opportunity to combine creative thinking with their understanding of artificial intelligence.
How The Entries Were Judged
Sushmita Chakraborty, PGDCA Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications (MCA), served as the judge.
The entries were evaluated on the basis of the quality of ideas, creativity, presentation and understanding of the competition theme.
Winners Announced
Code 7, comprising Manshi Jaiswal, Kumari Abha, Riya Kumari and Muskan Kumari, won the First Prize.
The Second Prize went to Code 5, comprising Simran Sinha, Srija Raj, Hansika Bharti and Sanvi Singh.
Two teams shared the Third Prize. They were Code 3, comprising Siddhi Kumari and Chandni Kumari, and Code 4, comprising Anamta Rabila, Sriti Kumari, Sri Kala and Prity Sinha.
The Consolation Prize was awarded to Code 2, comprising Sambodhi, Riddhima, Isha Raj and Khushi Kumari.
Focus On Student Innovation
The competition provided students with a platform to examine the relationship between India’s past, present technological transformation and the potential role of AI in the future.
The programme also highlighted the college’s efforts to encourage students to engage with emerging technologies through creative and collaborative activities.
