Patna: Patna Women’s College will hold its annual convocation ceremony on February 24, with 35 students set to receive gold medals for academic excellence across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The ceremony will begin at 11.30am at the college’s Veronica Auditorium, where degrees will be conferred on 1,089 students graduating in 2025 from undergraduate courses, BEd and postgraduate diploma programmes.
College authorities have issued detailed guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of the event. For safety and discipline, mobile phones, food and water bottles will not be permitted inside the auditorium. A dress code has also been prescribed, with students required to wear a white or off-white saree or salwar suit with a red or gold border.
Robes will be distributed from designated counters outside the auditorium between 9am and 10am on the day of the ceremony. Students must carry their payment receipts, and only one parent or guardian will be allowed to accompany each graduate. Attendees are required to be seated by 10.30am.
Among the undergraduate gold medallists are Lakshmi (BCom), Zoya Afrin (BBA), Paridhi Singh (BCA), Vandana Kumari (Botany), Akanksha Shri (CEMS), Rashi Kumari (Chemistry), Darshan Kaur (Economics), Pihu Khandelwal (English), Kamna Kumari (Geography), Manipuri (Hindi), Shanvi Dev (History), Srishti Suman (Home Science), Samarpan Saha (Mathematics), Yamna Abid (MBio), Aditi Sinha (Philosophy), Anshu Sharma (Physics), Anushka Sharma (Political Science), Rishika (Psychology), Shruti Srivastava (Sanskrit), Payal Kumari Ojha (Sociology), Purbasa Bhaduri (Statistics), Deepika Shri (Zoology), Aditi Raj (AMM) and Shreya Gautam (BMC).
Postgraduate gold medallists include Anupriya Singh (MA Political Science), Maria Talat (MA Home Science), Kriti Gupta (MA Applied Psychology), Vaishnavi Verma (MA English), Ayushi Raj (MA Geography), Palak Agarwal (MA Social Work), Farya Khanam (MSc Physics), Mridula Bhardwaj (MSc Zoology), Wajiha Saadi (MSc Biotechnology) and Raunak Afroz (MCA). Sushma Singh will receive the gold medal in the BEd programme.
The college said the convocation marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of graduating students and celebrates their achievements across disciplines.
