Patna: The Department of Commerce (Taxation and Auditing) at Patna Women’s College organised a mock Annual General Meeting (AGM) competition, titled “Beyond the Balance Sheet: Leading Corporate Decisions”, for Semester V students of the B.Com (Honours) Commerce Professional course on Saturday.
The competition was designed to give students practical exposure to the proceedings of an AGM and corporate decision-making.

Students showcase corporate skills
Students took part in the competition, demonstrating their communication and leadership skills, teamwork, analytical thinking and understanding of corporate processes.
The event began with the judges, CA Chirantan Bhattacharya and CS Kritika Anand Tiwari, being felicitated by CS Shweta Shah, head of the Department of Commerce (Taxation and Auditing), and assistant professor Mona Kumari, respectively.
After a closely contested competition, Suhani and her group secured first position, followed by Ankita and her group in second place. Monalisa and her group finished third.
The judges shared feedback and suggestions with the participants following the competition.

Faculty and students organise event
The event was organised under the guidance of CS Shweta Shah. Assistant professor Sohini Priya from the same department was also present.
The competition was conducted by Suhani Kumari and Aarushi, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Ankita Raj, a Semester III student of the B.Com (Honours) Commerce Professional course.
