Patna: The National Service Scheme unit at Patna Women’s College inaugurated a seven-day special camp on Tuesday aimed at encouraging youth participation in environmental and social initiatives.

Held at Carmel Hall on March 10, the camp—organised under the theme “Youth for Clean, Green and Healthy India”—will continue until March 16 and bring together student volunteers for a series of awareness and community service activities.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Prof Suheli Mehta, NSS coordinator at Patna University, and Dr Sister Celine Crasta AC, cultural coordinator and head of the history department at Patna Women’s College. The programme began with the NSS song and a welcome address by Dr Jyoti Chandra, the college’s NSS programme officer.

In the Best Out of Waste competition, Khushi Raj, Vaishnavi Kumari and Archana Anchal secured first position, followed by Khushi Singh and Shifali Kumari in second place, while Rafiya Jamal, Ayushi Arya and Shreya Krishna finished third.
