Patna: Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organised an Orientation Programme for the new academic batch of MCA, PG and PG Diploma students on August 17, 2026, at B.J. Sullivan Hall.

Programme Begins with Prayer
The programme commenced with a prayer seeking divine blessings for a meaningful and successful academic journey for the new students.
Students Introduced to College Vision and Mission
The first session focused on the Vision, Mission and Objectives of Patna Women’s College. Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Vice Principal, Patna Women’s College, familiarised the students with the institution’s guiding principles, values and academic objectives.
This was followed by a presentation on the College Profile, giving students an overview of the institution’s achievements, academic departments, facilities and campus environment.
Session on Campus Culture
Dr. Soofia Fatima, Head of the Department of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), conducted a session on Campus Culture. The session introduced the students to the values, traditions and vibrant academic and cultural environment of Patna Women’s College.

Principal Welcomes New Students
The programme concluded with the Presidential Address by Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College. Welcoming the new students, she encouraged them to make the most of their academic journey and actively utilise the opportunities provided by the institution.
Faculty and Coordinators Support Programme
The orientation programme was organised with the support and coordination of Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Vice Principal and Head, Department of History; Puja Kumari, Cultural Coordinator; and Ms. Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application (BCA).
The programme provided the new students with a warm and informative introduction to college life, institutional values and the academic opportunities available at Patna Women’s College.
