Patna: Patna Women’s College (PWC) has collaborated with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Academy to introduce a new Certification Course on Stock Market Analysis. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions formalized the partnership, and an online orientation session via Webex introduced students to the program.
Dr. Soofia Fatima, Head of the Department of Commerce and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, inaugurated the session, emphasizing the importance of practical stock market education and its potential to shape students’ careers.
Vishwajeet Banick, Kolkata Manager at NSE Academy, highlighted the range of courses offered by NSE and its collaborations with prominent institutions nationwide. He stressed that the course’s practical focus would provide students with a competitive advantage in the job market.
Karan Joshi, Senior Trainer and Faculty at NSE Academy, Mumbai, detailed the course’s coverage of technical analysis and risk management, noting that it would equip students to make informed investment decisions. He also addressed market trends, explaining that while bull markets offer opportunities, understanding market fluctuations through structured programs is crucial for navigating bear markets.
The interactive session saw active participation from students who shared feedback and inquired about career prospects in finance. Shrishti Tiwari, Premier of Patna Women’s College and a B.Com Semester VI student, moderated the session. Faculty members from the Department of Commerce and enrolled students were also in attendance.
