Patna: Police in Patna have launched an investigation into the death of a 25-year-old man who was found in his rented accommodation in Dayachak late on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Manish Kumar from Chaliskurwa village, had reportedly been speaking to his wife on the phone shortly before the incident.
According to preliminary accounts, Manish and his wife had an argument during the call, after which he was found unresponsive by a family member who had come to visit. Local residents gathered at the scene, and his family later took the body back to their village on Saturday night.

Manish, who was preparing for the Bihar Police recruitment exam, had been married for six months. His wife, who is from Alipur village in Bakhtiyarpur, had been staying at her parents’ home for the past 15 days. The nature of the dispute between the couple remains unclear.
Police have seized his mobile phone and begun examining the call records as part of their inquiry. Officers said they are speaking to relatives and friends to establish what may have led to the incident.
A friend, Gaurav Kumar, told police that the family believed Manish had been distressed about issues in his marriage. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and that a postmortem report will help determine the next steps.
