Patna: A youth identified as Rajkrishna was murdered in Patna on Sunday. The incident took place in Saristabad under Gardnibagh police station limits, where miscreants entered his house and shot him before fleeing. The sudden killing has created panic in the area.
Police said the incident happened in the morning. After getting the information, officers rushed to the spot and took Rajkrishna to Patna Medical College and Hospital. Doctors, however, declared him dead on arrival.
Secretariat-1 SDPO Dr Anu Kumari said forensic and dog squad teams were called to collect evidence from the house. She added that the case appears to be linked to personal enmity, and raids are underway to arrest the attackers.
According to locals, Rajkrishna worked as a delivery boy. He was inside his home when the assailants barged in and shot him. Police have assured the family that the culprits will be caught soon, but the incident has once again raised concern over law and order in the capital.
