Patna: Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi visited the Bapu Tower Museum in Patna on Thursday, where he toured its galleries and reviewed exhibits depicting the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.
According to an official statement, Joshi appreciated the museum’s efforts to present Gandhi’s legacy through modern digital technology and multimedia displays.
Digital Exhibits Highlight Gandhi’s Legacy
During the visit, the Union minister viewed historical photographs, murals, audio-visual presentations and interactive digital galleries installed at the museum.
The exhibits include presentations on Gandhi’s Champaran Satyagraha, India’s freedom movement and the principles associated with his life and work. Joshi also reviewed information on development initiatives of the Bihar government inspired by Gandhian ideals.
Museum Director Briefs Union Minister
Bapu Tower Director Vinay Kumar welcomed the minister and briefed him on the objectives behind the museum’s development and its architectural features.
Joshi also watched a short film in the museum’s turntable theatre on the construction of Bapu Tower and the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.
Praises Use Of Multimedia Technology
According to the official release, Joshi said the museum had effectively preserved and presented Gandhi’s life and ideas through multimedia technology.
He also expressed his intention to visit Bapu Tower again during a future visit to Patna.
Senior officials from the Union and Bihar governments were present during the visit.
