Patna: Prashant Kishor has announced a plan to help unemployed youth in Bankipur find private-sector jobs, asking families to submit the CVs and biodatas of educated job seekers at his office.
Speaking in Bankipur after his election victory, Kishor said his team would work towards helping up to 10,000 youths secure employment through private companies and his professional network.
CVs To Be Collected At Office
Kishor appealed to families with educated children looking for employment to submit their resumes and biodatas at his office.
He said the information would be used to connect eligible candidates with employment opportunities in the private sector.
According to Kishor, his team would approach major private companies and use its network to create job opportunities for young people from the constituency.
No Promise Of Government Jobs
Kishor clarified that the initiative does not involve a promise of government employment.
He said government appointments are governed by recruitment processes beyond his direct control. Instead, he said the focus would be on helping unemployed youth access private-sector jobs that can provide them with a regular livelihood.
‘I Am Working For You’
Kishor also addressed questions about his absence from Bankipur following his election victory.
He said he had not been away from the constituency merely for personal reasons and was working on initiatives for local residents. He said the employment announcement was part of those efforts.
Kishor further claimed that Bankipur would see one of the largest efforts to connect young people with employment opportunities compared with other Assembly constituencies in Bihar.
Appeal To Those Who Can Help
Kishor also appealed to people who had benefited from his work or network to contribute to the employment initiative.
He said he had asked such individuals to assist in creating job opportunities for educated young people from Bankipur.
The initiative is expected to begin with the collection of CVs and biodatas from job seekers. Further details about the companies, vacancies, eligibility criteria and selection process will determine how the proposed employment drive is implemented.
