Patna: Former poll strategist and Jan Suraj campaign convenor Prashant Kishore on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of deceiving the public through political alliances in Bihar. Kishore asserted that the recent alliances formed in the state are merely a ploy to hoodwink the electorate, drawing attention to past instances of betrayal.
Kishore reminded them of Nitish’s actions in 2017, alleging that the Bihar Chief Minister had reneged on his promises, leaving voters disillusioned. He cautioned Bihar residents, stating that Nitish is likely to repeat this pattern of betrayal if entrusted with power once more.
Kishore also highlighted his own efforts during critical junctures, particularly in Bengal during the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) debates, where he claims to have taken proactive steps to protect the interests of the people. He questioned the absence of other Bihar politicians, including Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, and Nitish, during such challenging times.
Furthermore, Kishore asserted his role in thwarting the BJP’s advances in West Bengal, claiming credit for the party’s defeat in the state. He vowed to continue his efforts to shape the political landscape and urged the public to trust him for the next three years, promising transformative change.
