Patna: Radha Ashtami, the appearance day of Radharani, was celebrated with devotion and joy across the world by ISKCON on Sunday. In Patna, ISKCON organised a special programme at its temple hall from 12 noon to 2 pm. The celebration began with melodious bhajans and kirtans by Hare Krishna devotees, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
One of the main highlights of the day was the Mahabhishek of Radharani. The abhishek was performed with the holy waters of Sahastra Tirtha and Panchagavyas, followed by a grand Maha Aarti. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness these rituals and offered their prayers with great enthusiasm. At the end of the programme, Mahaprasad was distributed to all the devotees and life members present.
On this occasion, Raman Manohar Das Ji, Chairman of TMC of ISKCON Patna, explained the spiritual significance of Radharani. He said that Radharani is the divine power of Lord Krishna and that devotion to Krishna cannot be complete without her grace. She is also known as Brajeshwari, the mistress of Braj, and is regarded as the Ahladini Shakti of God, always serving Him with love. He added that it is almost impossible to enter the holy land of Braj without the blessings of Radharani.
Das Ji also expressed his determination to spread Krishna consciousness throughout Bihar. He thanked the devotees, dignitaries, ministers, guests and media who supported the event and expressed confidence that Radha Ashtami celebrations in Patna would become even more grand in the coming years. Thousands of devotees and many well-known personalities of the city attended the festival, making it a memorable occasion for all.
