Darbhanga/Patna: Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra took a dramatic turn on its 11th day in Bihar on Wednesday as the Congress leader led a bike rally through Darbhanga, joined by his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
A video circulating from the rally showed Priyanka Gandhi, wearing a helmet, perched behind Rahul on the motorbike, waving to crowds gathered on the roadside. The unusual sight of the siblings riding together sparked excitement among supporters and added a touch of symbolism to the opposition’s attempt at projecting unity.

Adding further weight to the march, Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK leader MK Stalin also appeared alongside the Gandhis, after being invited by the Grand Alliance. His presence underscored the opposition’s effort to frame the yatra as a national rather than purely regional campaign.
The day before, the yatra had rolled into Darbhanga from Madhubani, where locals showered the convoy with flowers – at one point using a bulldozer to rain petals on Rahul and Priyanka. Crowds jostled for a glimpse of the leaders as the procession wound its way through villages before halting for the night at Fakruddin Ali Ahmed Teachers Training College in Kharua.
While Rahul Gandhi continued the yatra into Sitamarhi, Priyanka returned to Delhi on Wednesday evening, skipping a scheduled visit to Punaura Dham, the revered site of goddess Janaki. Her brief but high-profile appearance nevertheless gave the campaign a boost in north Bihar, where the ruling NDA has traditionally been strong.
