Patna: The Railways has announced measures to accommodate the surge in passengers during the festival season, including adding extra coaches to the Amrit Bharat Express on the Delhi–Bhagalpur route.
Special trains will also run on the Malda–Udhna route via Bhagalpur. The 03417 Malda–Udhna Special will depart from Malda on Saturdays, reaching Bhagalpur at 3:35 pm, stopping for 10 minutes before continuing. This service will operate on September 27, October 4, 11, 18, 25, and November 1 and 8. The return train, 03418 Udhna–Malda Special, will depart Udhna on Mondays, reaching Bhagalpur on Tuesdays at 10:25 am, running on September 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28, and November 4 and 11. The trains pass through Gaya, Nawada, and Kiul.
On the Delhi–Bhagalpur route, train number 04064 will leave Delhi on Tuesdays at 11:00 am and reach Bhagalpur at 3:00 pm on Wednesdays. The return 04063 train will leave Bhagalpur the following day. These weekly special trains will run from Delhi on September 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28, and November 4, 11, 18, 25, with corresponding departures from Bhagalpur on the next day.
