Rajgir: A Dial 112 emergency service worker was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the Rajgir police station barrack on Tuesday, prompting an investigation into what authorities believe may have been a case of domestic distress.
According to Rajgir Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sunil Kumar, the deceased, identified as Suman Tirkey, hailed from Bhatouli village in Gumla district, Jharkhand, and had been posted in Rajgir for the past year. Tirkey was serving as part of Bihar’s Dial 112 emergency response service, a statewide rapid assistance system.
“The initial findings suggest that the incident may have stemmed from a family dispute,” DSP Kumar said, adding that a post-mortem examination has been initiated and further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of death.
