Rajgir: Tourists visiting Rajgir’s popular Nature Safari and Glass Bridge will be able to book more slots from September, with the daily visitor capacity being increased at both attractions.
The Glass Bridge will accommodate up to 2,100 visitors a day, compared with the current capacity of 1,200, while the Zoo Safari will increase its daily capacity to 2,400 visitors, up from 1,600.
The number of visitor slots at both attractions will be increased as part of an effort to make ticketing more convenient and transparent for tourists.
90% tickets to be available online
Under the revamped ticketing system, 90% of the tickets will be made available online. Tourists from across Bihar as well as other parts of India and abroad will be able to book their slots from home.
The remaining 10% of tickets will be available through offline counters for visitors who arrive without advance bookings.
The move is expected to make the booking process more transparent while reducing difficulties caused by high demand during peak periods.
Tourists can travel by train, bus
Rajgir is directly connected to Patna Junction by train, while bus services are also readily available.
Tourists travelling with families or in groups can also book four-wheelers or tourist buses through the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC). These vehicles can be booked through both online and offline modes.
Rajgir Nature Safari ticket prices
Tourists will be able to choose slots between 8 am and 3 pm.
The ticket charges are:
- Glass Bridge + Nature Safari: Rs 300 per person; Rs 150 for children.
- Zoo Safari: Rs 250 per person; Rs 250 for children.
The increased capacity and online-first ticketing system are expected to make it easier for tourists to plan visits to Rajgir’s major attractions, particularly those travelling from distant districts and other states.
