Former Union Minister and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad Urges Strict Action to Curb Crime in Patna

Ravi Shankar Prasad asked Bihar police officials to take strong measures, increase patrolling, and ensure criminals are punished to maintain public safety in Patna.

Patna: Former Union minister and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on monday spoke to ADG Law and Order Kundan Krishnan and SSP Patna Kartikeya Sharma to discuss the law and order situation in Patna.

During the discussion, Ravi Shankar urged the officials to take strict and effective action to prevent crime, ensuring that no atmosphere of fear prevails in the city. He emphasised that prompt action should be taken in serious cases to expose scandals and punish the culprits.

Ravi Shankar highlighted the need for increased police patrolling to instil a sense of security among residents. He stated that the NDA government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has effectively worked on crime control and that maintaining this image is crucial.

He also asked the officers to act firmly against elements promoting crime under any conspiracy. Additionally, he suggested that if any mistakes have been committed by lower-level police officers, they should be reviewed and necessary action should be taken.
