Patna: Bhojpuri actor and singer Shatrughan Yadav, popularly known by his stage name Khesari Lal Yadav, has officially entered the electoral fray for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, filing his nomination as the candidate for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Khesari is contesting from the politically crucial Chhapra Assembly seat in the Saran district.
The RJD’s decision to nominate the superstar came just one day after his official entry into the party. The high-profile political move was preceded by his wife, Chanda Yadav, also joining the RJD in Patna two days prior. Khesari Lal Yadav promptly filed his nomination papers before the election officer on Friday, positioning him as one of the most talked-about candidates this cycle.
