Patna: Traffic movement in parts of Patna was disrupted after a section of the road near Rajendra Nagar Terminal caved in on the Kumhrar-to-station route. Authorities have begun repair work and diverted traffic to ensure public safety.
The damaged stretch is located opposite Rajendra Nagar Terminal, near Pansiya Hotel. Barricades have been placed around the affected area while repair operations continue.

Repair Work Underway
According to officials, the concerned department responded after the cave-in by filling the damaged section with concrete. The road will remain under repair until the concrete has fully set and the surface is considered safe for traffic.
Authorities are monitoring the repair process before restoring normal movement on the affected stretch.
Single-Lane Traffic Causes Congestion
With one side of the road closed for repairs, vehicles from both directions are currently being allowed to pass through a single lane.
The diversion has increased traffic pressure in the area, resulting in congestion, particularly during peak travel hours.
Precautionary Measures on Adjacent Stretch
Officials also identified cracks on another section of the road near the repair site. As a precaution, iron plates have been placed over the affected area to maintain vehicle movement while preventing further damage.
The concerned department is continuing to monitor the road condition to reduce the risk of accidents.
Commuters Advised to Use Alternative Routes
Traffic police and officials have appealed to commuters to avoid the affected stretch wherever possible and use alternative routes until repair work is completed.
Passengers travelling to or from Rajendra Nagar Terminal have also been advised to factor in additional travel time due to expected traffic congestion in the area.
