Gayaji: Gaya district administration and traffic police have announced special traffic arrangements for July 11 in view of the visit of Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan. The restrictions will be in force from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM to facilitate VVIP movement and security.

According to the traffic plan issued by the traffic police, the entry and movement of vehicles will be restricted on selected routes during the specified period. Emergency and essential service vehicles will be exempt from the restrictions.

Routes Under Restriction

The administration has imposed the following traffic restrictions:

  • Entry of heavy vehicles from Manpur via the bypass to Bodh Gaya (underpass) will remain prohibited. Emergency service vehicles will be allowed.
  • Entry of all types of vehicles from Khatkachak to BIPARD, Gate No. 5, Airport Turn, and Dhanawan Turn will be restricted. Vehicles engaged in emergency services are exempt.

Alternative Routes for Commuters

The traffic police have advised commuters to use alternative routes during the restriction period:

  • Sikariya Turn → Magadh Medical College → Cherki Road
  • Manpur → Kendui → Rajapur → Bodh Gaya

These diversions have been put in place to minimise inconvenience while ensuring smooth movement during the Vice President’s visit.
