Muzaffarpur / Patna : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Muzaffarpur on Wednesday evening, beginning a five-day tour of Bihar. Mohan Bhagwat, who will remain in the state until March 9, is expected to participate in various organisational meetings and events during his visit.
His arrival in Muzaffarpur was met with heightened security, with police personnel deployed across key locations in the city. Hundreds of officers were stationed at traffic points, while additional security forces were assigned to the RSS office and Madhukar Niketan in Kalambagh Chowk, where Bhagwat was warmly received by Sangh workers.
Visit to Supaul and Key Meetings
On Thursday, Bhagwat is set to travel to Supaul, where he will meet with provincial RSS leaders and members of the organisation. He is expected to return to Muzaffarpur by the evening.
According to sources, Bhagwat has a packed schedule, including a meeting with provincial and district-level Sangh workers at Ramdayalu Singh College on March 7. The following day, he will attend a gathering at the Sinkarpur branch before concluding his visit. He is scheduled to depart for Nagpur on March 9.
Security Measures and Border Alert
In light of Bhagwat’s visit, security has been significantly intensified in Muzaffarpur and surrounding areas. City Superintendent of Police Vishwajit Dayal and DSP Town Seema Devi have been tasked with overseeing security arrangements.
Meanwhile, the India-Nepal border has been placed on high alert, with the Border Security Force conducting stringent checks on individuals crossing between the two countries. Authorities have ramped up surveillance to ensure a smooth and secure visit for the RSS chief.
