Rural Development Minister’s Convoy Involved in Road Accident in Aurangabad
Aurangabad: A road accident unfolded on NH139 in the Obra block of Aurangabad district on Saturday afternoon, involving the car of state rural development minister Shravan Kumar. The incident occurred near Tejpura village of Obra block, as the minister was en route to attend a program.
The accident transpired when the police vehicle within the minister’s convoy lost balance and overturned on the roadside, reportedly due to high speed and a turning point in the vicinity.
As a result of the accident, five policemen sustained injuries. Swift action was taken, and all injured personnel were promptly admitted to the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Daudnagar. Two of the injured policemen have been referred to a higher medical center for specialized care.
Details reveal that minister Shravan Kumar was traveling from Patna to Dehri to participate in a scheduled program, accompanied by his convoy, including a escort vehicle from Patna. The mishap occurred as the convoy passed through Daudnagar, causing the escort vehicle to lose balance near Tezpur canal, leading to its overturning.
Dawoodnagar CO Narendra Kumar, who was part of the convoy, reached out to villagers for assistance. With the collaborative efforts of local residents, the injured policemen were swiftly transported to the hospital for medical attention.
