Satellite Image Shows Cloud Cover Over Bihar as Yellow Alert Issued for Thunderstorms

Patna: Patna and several other districts in Bihar witnessed welcome relief from the searing heat on Sunday as rain-bearing clouds covered the skies.
The Patna Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds reaching speeds of 30–40 km/h in parts of the state. Areas under the alert include Patna, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Gaya, Nawada, Begusarai, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Munger, and Khagaria.
A satellite image released by the Patna Meteorological Centre earlier showed dense cloud cover across much of Bihar. Officials said there is a strong likelihood of rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds in most regions, including the state capital.
The sudden weather change has brought significant respite to residents who had been grappling with intense heat in recent days. Authorities have urged people to remain cautious during thunderstorms, especially in areas forecast to experience strong winds and lightning.
