Patna: BJP national spokesperson and former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain met President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. The meeting, attended by his family, included a special gesture from Hussain’s wife, Renu Hussain, who presented the President with a traditional Bhagalpur silk saree.
Speaking after the meeting, Hussain described the interaction as “cordial and affectionate,” adding that the President warmly accepted the saree and praised its craftsmanship and quality.
Bhagalpur silk, renowned for its rich heritage and fine texture, has long been a symbol of Bihar’s cultural pride. The gesture was seen as a tribute to the state’s legacy.
