Sheohar/Patna:Sheohar district magistrate Pratibha Rani on Friday reviewed the progress of several major land acquisition projects and directed officials to accelerate pending work related to road and rail infrastructure schemes.
The review meeting focused on the Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway and the Raxaul-Haldia Expressway projects, with officials discussing the status of land acquisition and notification procedures.
Push to complete 3A notification process
The district magistrate instructed officials to complete the 3A notification process for both expressway projects at the earliest.
According to officials, land acquisition for the Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway is currently underway in 12 villages across Sheohar and Piprahi circles.
For the Raxaul-Haldia Expressway project, acquisition work is in progress in 27 villages in the district.
Special camp for compensation claims
The administration also decided to organise a special camp on Monday to address pending compensation payments linked to the Sheohar-Belwa road construction project.
Landholders concerned have been asked to attend the camp and submit their applications for compensation-related claims.
Directions on railway project cases
During the meeting, officials were also instructed to expedite the disposal of pending compensation cases related to the Sitamarhi-Sheohar new railway line project.
The district administration said departments concerned had been directed to ensure timely coordination and faster resolution of pending matters.
