Siwan: A jewellery shop in Bihar’s Siwan district was targeted in a brazen daylight robbery on Thursday, leaving the local community in shock. Gun-wielding robbers looted gold and cash worth an estimated Rs 1 crore from Krishna Jewellers in Tari Bazaar, under the Raghunathpur police station area.
Eyewitnesses reported that six masked men carried out the attack. Three entered the shop posing as customers, before threatening the shopkeeper and others present, firing shots and seizing the valuables. The gang then fled on a motorcycle, joined by two accomplices waiting outside, reportedly firing in the air as they escaped.
The audacious crime has sparked anger and fear among traders and residents. Local police arrived at the scene shortly after the robbery and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend those responsible.
