Siwan: Two young men were Died on Monday morning after being struck by the Arunachal Express near Navka Tola village between Mairwa and Bankata stations in Bihar’s Siwan district, leading to major disruption of train services for nearly an hour.
The victims were identified as Neeraj Chaudhary, 21, and Sahil Chaudhary, 23, both residents of Bettiah in West Champaran district. Police and railway protection officials retrieved the bodies from the track and sent them to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Local villagers first spotted the bodies, which were recognised by their clothing. The incident caused delays on the busy rail route, with train no. 11123 Gwalior–Barauni and a goods train stranded at Bankata station for about an hour before services resumed.
