Delhi: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has pledged to fund the education of three children of Mohammad Sikandar, a street vendor from Saharsa, Bihar, who sells popcorn and candy on a bicycle in Delhi.

Sood met Sikandar by chance while filming his upcoming movie Fateh at India Gate. Moved by his struggle, the actor stopped to speak with him and learned about his family’s hardships. Sikandar expressed his desire to send his three sons to a good school but said financial constraints had made it impossible.

Upon hearing this, Sood assured him that he would take full responsibility for the children’s education. The actor later shared a video of their interaction on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, which has since gone viral. Social media users have lauded his generosity, once again calling him the “messiah of the poor.”

Sikandar, who cycles across Delhi daily to sell his goods, has been living away from his family due to financial pressures. With Sood’s support, he now hopes for a better future for his children.
