Patna: The much-awaited annual sports fest Spardhaa 2026 commenced with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP). The two-day mega sporting event, scheduled for April 10th and 11th ,2026, features a diverse range of competitions including Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, Volleyball, Race (Athletics), Tug of War, and BGMI, encouraging students to showcase their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. In this sports event, the winners will be awarded with cash prizes, certificates and medals, which will encourage the participants to participate and perform well.

The inaugural session was held at the CIMP Auditorium and was graced by the presence of Director CIMP, Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Sibananda Senapati, Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Ranjan, Mr. Vivek Kashyap, SAO, CIMP, Mr. Satyam Kumar, Project Manager, SHY Enterprises and an alumnus of CIMP and Mr. Vikas Kumar, Fitness Guru.
Addressing the gathering, Director Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh encouraged participants to actively engage in sports and highlighted the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being. He emphasized the immense benefits of practicing yoga and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Fitness Guru Mr. Vikas Kumar shared valuable insights on staying healthy, stressing the importance of regular exercise, nutritious food, and early morning routines to remain free from ailments. Mr. Satyam Kumar, reflecting on his journey as an alumnus, motivated students to develop time management skills and leadership qualities while successfully organizing and participating in such large-scale events. The inaugural ceremony concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Sibananda Senapati, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers for their valuable contribution to the successful commencement of Spardhaa 2026.
Following the inaugural session, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted at the Recreation Centre, marking the formal opening of the sports facilities, after which a friendly match was organized to kick-start the competitions.
Spardhaa 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various colleges, institutes, and schools across Bihar, including Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute (LNMI), Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), B.D. College, New Government Polytechnic, Bhupendra Narayan Mandal College Madhepura, Gyan Niketan, H.N. Inter College, Catholic High School, Birla Institute of Technology Patna, Ram Krishna Dwarika College, College of Commerce Arts and Science, Amity University Patna, Bihar Institute of Law, Rajendra College, A.N. College, Government Women Polytechnic Muzaffarpur, Dr. C.V. Raman University, and CIMAGE College and many others from and outside Bihar also.
