Patna: East Central Railway has extended the operation of several special trains in response to the continued increase in passenger demand. The extension covers services between Danapur and Bengaluru, Danapur and Charlapalli, and Saraigarh and Deoghar. The Railways has also announced a special train from Patna to Ahmedabad on July 17.
Danapur-Bengaluru Special Extended
The Danapur-SMVB (Bengaluru) Special (03251/03252) will now operate daily from July 17 to August 31, except on July 27 and August 1.
On the return journey, the train will run daily from July 19 to September 2, except on July 29 and August 3.
The train will have 22 coaches, including AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper and General class coaches.
Danapur-Charlapalli Service to Continue
The Railways has also extended the operation of the Danapur-Charlapalli Special (07091/07092).
The train will depart from Charlapalli on July 18 and July 25, while services from Danapur will operate on July 20 and July 27. Like the Bengaluru special, it will also comprise 22 coaches across AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper and General classes.
According to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, all extended services will continue to operate on their existing routes and schedules.
Saraigarh-Deoghar MEMU Special Extended
The Saraigarh-Deoghar MEMU Special (05573/05574) will continue to run daily from July 16 to August 31 in both directions.
The train will halt at key stations including Supaul, Saharsa, Mansi, Khagaria, Munger, Sultanganj and Bhagalpur, providing connectivity to passengers across the region.
Patna-Ahmedabad Special on July 17
The Railways has also announced a special train (09448) from Patna to Ahmedabad, scheduled to depart at 10:30 pm on July 17.
The train will travel via Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (DDU), Kanpur, Kota, Ratlam and Chhayapuri, and is expected to reach Ahmedabad at 2:20 am on the third day.
East Central Railway has appealed to passengers to make use of these special train services during the period of increased travel demand.
