Patna: St Karen’s Secondary School celebrated its annual sports day, Desportivos 2025, on the school campus with great enthusiasm and active participation from students. The event turned the campus into a lively sports arena, where children from different classes took part in various competitions. The focus of the day was not only on winning medals but also on discipline, teamwork and enjoying the spirit of sports. Teachers and students worked together to make the programme smooth and well organised.St Karen’s Secondary School Marks Annual Sports Day with Energy, Teamwork and Young Talent

The chief guest for the occasion was Dr (Prof.) Vivekanand Pandey, vice-chancellor of Amity University, Patna. In his address, he encouraged students to believe in themselves and remain confident in every situation. He shared the simple message that self-belief is the first step towards success, both in sports and in life. His words motivated the students and added meaning to the celebration.

The event was also attended by D P Galstaun, director of St Karen’s Group of Schools, and Shefali Shrivastava, supervisor of schools. They appreciated the efforts of students and teachers and spoke about the importance of sports in a child’s overall development. They said that activities like sports help students learn discipline, leadership and cooperation, which are equally important as academic learning.St Karen’s Secondary School Marks Annual Sports Day with Energy, Teamwork and Young Talent

The sports day began with a colourful welcome dance, a song and a march past by students, which created an energetic atmosphere. This was followed by various track and field events and group drills. Students showed strength, speed and teamwork during the competitions, reflecting their regular practice and hard work. The playground remained filled with cheers and encouragement throughout the day.

The programme ended with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were awarded for their performances. The event concluded on a happy note, leaving students with a sense of achievement and confidence. Desportivos 2025 once again highlighted the school’s aim of promoting physical fitness and balanced education through sports.
