Sur Sangam Music Club Inaugurated at Patna Women’s College

Patna: Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, inaugurated the Sur Sangam Music Club on October 22, 2024. The event began with a welcome address, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Head of the Department of Zoology, along with Dr. Sister M. Nelsa, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, Coordinator of the club, and Ms. Komal Kumari, Co-Coordinator of the club.
Dr. Shobha Shrivastava introduced the students and emphasized the importance of community and collaboration in creating a platform for musicians and enthusiasts to share their passion for music. Sister Nelsa discussed the role of music in enriching lives and fostering discipline through regular practice. Mr. Rajeev Ranjan outlined the club’s aims and activities, while Ms. Komal Kumari spoke about the significance of student roles and participation in the club.
The launch of the club’s logo symbolized the essence of music. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Shailja Gautam, recognizing the efforts behind the success of the inauguration. The event was moderated by Ruqayya Fatima and attended by faculty members, guests, and the club’s coordinators.
