Patna: Bihar is heating up politically as the state gears up for its next assembly elections, with leaders taking their campaigns from public rallies to social media. On Saturday, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar criticised Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav online, prompting a swift response from Yadav himself.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Tejashwi Prasad Yadav posed ten pointed questions to Bihar’s ruling BJP-JD(U) “double engine” government, accusing it of failing to address the state’s longstanding issues. He urged voters to ask these questions when party workers seek their support at the door.

Yadav highlighted what he called the failures of 20 years of Nitish Kumar’s leadership and 11 years of BJP-led governance, saying they had “ruined the lives of two generations”. His ten questions included: why Bihar remains the poorest state, why women are unsafe, why healthcare and education systems are inadequate, why crime and corruption are rampant, and why employment opportunities and industrial development remain limited.
“BJP and Nitish Kumar will not be able to give a single answer,” Yadav claimed.
The opposition leader has been increasingly active in the run-up to the elections, combining grassroots visits with social media campaigns that frequently target Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has also circulated what he calls Bihar’s “crime bulletin” online, highlighting governance concerns.
