Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is set to embark on a fresh mass outreach campaign before the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. His Bihar Adhikar Yatra will begin in Jehanabad on September 16 and conclude in Vaishali on September 20, covering 10 districts in five days.
The yatra will see Tejashwi, currently leader of opposition in the state assembly, engage with voters through public dialogues in several constituencies along the route. According to a circular issued by RJD’s state principal general secretary Ranvijay Sahu, party MPs, MLAs, district presidents and leaders from the concerned districts have been instructed to join the campaign.
The planned route will take Tejashwi from Jehanabad to Vaishali, passing through Nalanda, Patna, Begusarai, Khagaria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul and Samastipur.
The initiative follows last month’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, in which Yadav joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to campaign on issues related to voter list revision. That 15-day tour began in Sasaram on August 17 and ended in Patna on September 1, covering 1,300 kilometres across 20 districts.
