Patna: A young man was seriously injured on Sunday when a Thar SUV lost control on a sharp turn near Chamaniya, in the Valmiki Nagar area of Bihar, and crashed into a nearby forest.
Passersby alerted the police after witnessing the accident. Naurangia Station House Officer (SHO) Shubham Kumar Singh promptly dispatched his 112 emergency response team to the scene. The officers provided first aid to the injured man before rushing him to the subdivisional hospital in Bagaha, ensuring he received immediate medical attention. Valmiki Nagar SHO Mukesh Chandra Kunwar was also informed of the incident.
Speaking about the response, SHO Singh emphasised that saving lives takes precedence over jurisdictional boundaries. “Humanity is more important than police station limits,” he said. “Our priority was to ensure the injured person reached medical care without delay.”
The victim has been identified as Vicky Kumar, 25, from Kuchaikot in Gopalganj district. He was en route to Valmiki Nagar when the accident occurred. Hospital authorities reported that he sustained deep cuts to his head and face, resulting in significant bleeding, but his condition is now stable.
Local residents praised the swift and humane response of the Naurangia police and the 112 emergency team, noting that their prompt intervention prevented the situation from becoming more serious. The incident has been cited as an example of police efficiency and concern for public welfare.
