Patna: An accident occurred at Gop Ghat in Patna’s Didarganj area on the first day of Navratri, where three youths drowned while bathing in the Ganga. The trio had gone to the ghat to collect soil and Gangajal for Kalash Sthapana. While bathing, they ventured into deep waters. One youth managed to swim to safety, while the other two were swept away by the strong current.
Upon receiving the information, divers and a police team rushed to the spot. After hours of effort, the divers successfully retrieved both youths from the water. Their families immediately took them to the hospital for treatment. However, one of the youths was declared dead by doctors, while the other remains in critical condition.
Fatuha SDPO Nikhil Kumar confirmed that all three youths were residents of Vigrahpur. The police have launched an investigation into the incident to gather more details.
