Upendra Prasad Singh Appointed New Vice Chancellor of Patliputra University

Upendra Prasad Singh, former principal of TPS College, has been appointed as the new vice chancellor of Patliputra University for a three-year term.

Patna: Upendra Prasad Singh, the former principal of TPS College, Patna, has been appointed as the new vice chancellor of Patliputra University. The notification of his appointment was issued on July 3 by Robert R Chongthu, Principal Secretary to the Governor. His tenure will be for three years from the date of appointment.

Upendra retired on May 31 this year. He was selected for the role based on the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor Selection Committee. Upendra is expected to take charge immediately.

During his tenure at TPS College, Upendra was also elected president of the Patliputra University Principals Association. Earlier this year, a farewell and felicitation ceremony was organised for him by the student union at TPS College to mark his retirement.

Before Upendra’s appointment, Sharad Kumar Yadav was serving as the acting vice chancellor of Patliputra University.
