Vande Bharat Express to Connect Patna and Tatanagar
Patna: Preparations are underway to launch the Vande Bharat Express train service from Patna to Tatanagar. This will mark the fifth Vande Bharat train operating out of Patna. A proposal has been submitted to the Railway Board for approval, and operations are expected to commence soon thereafter. The train will feature eight-coach racks and is designed to cover the distance to Tatanagar in approximately seven hours, with a maximum speed of 160 km/h.
The South Eastern Railway Zone will be responsible for maintaining this new Vande Bharat Express. Currently, Vande Bharat Express trains run from Patna to Ranchi, Howrah, New Jalpaiguri, and Lucknow.
In response to increased passenger demand, a special train will be introduced between Lalkuan and Howrah, and from Jayanagar to Ujjain. The 09092 Jayanagar-Ujjain Special Train will depart from Jayanagar on Tuesdays at 10:05 PM, passing through Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Veerangana Lakshmibai (Jhansi), Bina, and Sant Hirdaram Nagar (Bhopal), arriving in Ujjain at 5 AM on Thursday morning.
