Patna: Bollywood actor Vindu Dara Singh has criticised the Voter Adhikar Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, calling it “an entertainment show” and insisting that the opposition INDIA alliance has no chance of winning in Bihar.
Speaking in Patna on Monday, where he attended the convocation of a private college, Singh said the rally was being treated like a spectacle rather than a political movement. “People will come, listen to sermons and go away. Everyone knows who will win the elections in Bihar. If Modi is there, it is possible,” he said.
He claimed that despite the INDIA alliance’s repeated assertions of unity, its partners would not remain together. “They talk of staying united, but as soon as an issue arises, they break apart. Their only agenda is to remove Modi, but they will not succeed,” Singh added.

The actor praised chief minister Nitish Kumar’s governance, crediting him with infrastructure improvements in the state. “Every time I come to Bihar, I see something new – highways, better road connectivity, improved arrangements at the airport. Nitish ji knows how to run Bihar, and people will reflect this in their votes,” he said, while asserting that a BJP-led government under Narendra Modi would again take shape in the state.
Singh, son of the late wrestler-actor Dara Singh, also expressed a desire to contest elections in Punjab on a BJP ticket. “I want the lotus to bloom in Punjab again and for a government that keeps people happy to be formed,” he said.
During his visit, he sampled local cuisine, praising traditional dishes such as litti chokha and Champaran mutton, which he described as “famous all over the country”. He also revealed his upcoming film project, Welcome to the Jungle.
