Kaimur: RJD MLA Bharat Bind found himself in an uncomfortable situation during his election campaign in the Bhabhua Assembly constituency of Kaimur, when a young voter stopped his convoy and confronted him over his performance during the last five years.
The incident occurred while the MLA was touring a village with his supporters. The young man, identifying himself as Shyamsundar, son of Ramashankar Bind, questioned the legislator, asking, “Where were you for five years after winning the election?” He further pressed the MLA to say how many times he had visited the village to address people’s problems.
In the video circulating on social media, MLA Bharat Bind can be seen responding that he had visited the village “at least ten times.” However, the gathered crowd immediately refuted his claim, asserting that they had never seen him in the area since his election. The argument reportedly grew heated for a short time.
The video also shows the MLA gesturing with his hand, apparently asking the person recording to stop filming. But the young man refused, and the video ended abruptly after that exchange.
Locals say the confrontation has cast doubt on the MLA’s claims of development work in the constituency. Political observers believe the viral video could impact his campaign, as it reflects growing voter frustration and increasing demands for accountability from elected representatives.
