Gayaji: A serious incident has been reported from Bodh Gaya in Bihar, where a 26-year-old woman has alleged that she was gang-raped in an ambulance. The woman had fainted during a physical test for the Home Guard recruitment and was being taken to Magadh Medical College Hospital when the alleged assault took place.
According to the woman, she was unconscious in the ambulance when three to four people took turns raping her. She later informed the police about the incident. The woman is from the Imamganj area and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. An FIR has been registered at the Bodh Gaya police station based on her statement.
Taking the matter seriously, SSP Anand Kumar formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by the SDPO of Bodh Gaya. Police checked CCTV footage and arrested two suspects—a driver and a technician from the ambulance. Both are being questioned to identify others who may have been involved.
The police are continuing their investigation and searching for the remaining suspects. SSP Anand Kumar said that strict action will be taken and no one involved will be spared. The case has raised serious concerns about the safety of women during government recruitment events.
