Aurangabad: A 35-year-old man from Aurangabad district in Bihar has died by suicide after suffering heavy losses in the share market. The man has been identified as Prakash Kumar, who lived in Dev Nagar Panchayat. Police said his body was found on Saturday morning in the Suryakund pond, which is a famous holy place in Dev.
People saw his body floating while they were out for their morning walk near the pond. Soon, many people gathered at the spot. Local disaster workers and villagers took the body out of the water. Police from Dev police station reached the place, took the body into their custody, and sent it to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Police said that Prakash was under stress because he had lost a lot of money after investing in the share market. This could be the reason for his suicide. However, police are also checking other reasons behind his death.
“We are investigating the matter from all angles,” a police officer said. The incident has left his family and villagers in deep shock.
