Patna: A video of a roughly six-year-old boy speaking at a student protest in Patna has circulated widely on social media, after he demanded the resignation of the chief minister and raised concerns about unemployment.
The child was at the protest site at Dakbungalow Crossing with a woman when he took the microphone and addressed the gathering. Students and job aspirants can be seen protesting in the background.
Child Raises Unemployment Issue
In the video, the boy says students have been left unemployed because of the government and calls for the chief minister to resign.
He also refers to the police action during the protests, saying that it was not only one person whose head was hit but that “the heads of the country’s future” had been struck.
The video does not independently establish the circumstances surrounding the child’s remarks or the identity of the woman accompanying him.
Protest Over Employment Demands
Students and job aspirants have been protesting in Patna over employment and other demands. The protesters have also sought a meeting with the chief minister.
Earlier, protesters attempted to march towards the chief minister’s residence but were stopped by police.
Barricading At JP Golambar
Police put up barricades near JP Golambar to prevent the protesters from moving ahead. A scuffle reportedly broke out between police and protesters over the barricading.
Police subsequently restored the barricades and brought the situation under control.
Amid the continuing protest, the child’s remarks have emerged as a separate talking point on social media, with users sharing the video and discussing his comments on unemployment and the treatment of protesters.
